However, if you work in Cook County, you are entitled to a $13.00 per hour minimum wage, and $13.50 if you work in the City of Chicago. In 2019, Governor Pritzker into law making Illinois among the first states to provide for a minimum wage increase to $15.00 per hour by 2025.
